This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you use conzondigital.com or get in touch with us.

 

Who we are

 

Conzon Digital is a sole trader business based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, providing web design, photography, video and brand services.

 

For anything in this policy, we are the data controller.

What we collect

 

When you use the contact form. Your first name, your email address and whatever you write in the enquiry box. You choose what to put in that last one, so please do not include anything sensitive.

When you email or call us. Your contact details and the content of your message.

 

When you browse the site. Our website runs on Wix, which places cookies and collects basic technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site working and to understand how it is being used. You can control cookies through the banner when you arrive and through your browser settings.

 

We do not collect payment details through this website.

 

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to quote for and deliver work

• To keep records of the work we have done and who we did it for

• To keep the website secure and functioning

 

Our lawful basis

 

Where you contact us about work, we process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform that contract once agreed. For general enquiries and for keeping the site running, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving a small business. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only where you have consented.

 

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to, and if we ever do, every message will carry an unsubscribe link.

 

Who we share it with

 

We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.

 

We do use service providers who process information on our behalf:

• Wix, who host this website and operate the contact form

• Google, for our business email and for basic website analytics

 

These providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, they are required to protect it to a standard recognised under UK data protection law.

 

We will also disclose information where we are legally required to.

 

Portfolio and client work

 

Where we produce photography, video, websites or brand assets for a client, we may want to show that work in our portfolio, on this site or on social media. We ask for permission first, and we will not publish client work without it. If you have previously agreed and want the work removed, email us and we will take it down.

 

How long we keep it

 

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for six years after the end of the relationship, which is the period we need them for tax and accounting purposes.

 

Your rights

 

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you

• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate

• Ask us to delete it, where we have no ongoing reason to keep it

• Object to or restrict how we use it

• Ask us to transfer it to another provider, where that applies

• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will tell you when that last happened.
